Home on Lake Murray

One reason I love coming home is the lake. No matter what time of day it is or what the weather is like, it is always so beautiful and calming to me. It is food for my soul just to be able to take in the sight. The window in my room provides a great view all day long.

Home in SC

I finally made it home to SC. I cut my trip short in order to catch a ride home with my dad in the motorhome while he was passing through Birmingham. He had been in Searcy, AR visiting my brother Ross and was driving back home so I thought I better take advantage of riding back rather than driving back. 2 weeks was long enough to be on the road for me. It didn't help that Jackson caught a cold from my relatives in Spanish Fort, AL and we are still dealing with that. I've got more people to visit, but for the time being I am going to stay at my parents house and chill out. It's good to be back home with family.

Scott's new leave date is Monday, September 8th. He is flying out around 10:30 on a charter jet and I plan on leaving within that hour as well. My plan is to travel to Searcy then Columbus then Spanish Fort then Montgomery then Birmingham then Chattanooga then Atlanta then home to SOUTH CAROLINA!!! I look foward to seeing many of you in the coming month! Please pray Scott, me, and Jackson have safe travels.

2 month check-up,

Jackson had his 2 month well baby doctor visit this morning and all went well. He is now 23 inches long (50%) and 13 lbs, 5 oz (90%). Both the nurse and the doctor were quite empressed with his weight gain! In weight he jumped from the 25% to 90% range since his last doctor visit. Also, they said his head measurment was good. Praise God for a healthy baby!
