Carolina Rose Hamilton @ 27 weeks

These were the ultrasound pictures we had taken 4 weeks ago. I am 31 weeks today.
Currently I am in SC visiting my family while Scott is in New Mexico for Safety School. We both plan on flying back to Alaska next weekend. I have a had a good visit with my family and God has brought about some interesting developments since I've been here. My doctor, Scott, and the Holy Spirit have convicted me to try a VBAC. My naturopathic doc here was able to get Carolina to go head down and Lord willing she'll stay that way so I can attempt a VBAC and get all the health benefits that come with it.

Good luck. I have a friend that just had her third vbac. She slso did unmedicated. I also did unmedicated. You can do it I know! I read the Bradley method book and found it very helpful.

I did hypnobirthing with Connor, who I was attempting a VBAC with. I ended up with a C-Section, because the doctor on call that night was not very VBAC friendly. But--I DID have a successful VBAC after 2 C-sections, with my third son! I am so excited for you! I LOVED my VBAC so much!! :)

You can do it!!!! I am so excited to see that you are going for a VBAC unmedicated! I highly recommend The Birth Book by Dr. and Martha Sears. It is excellent and I felt very prepared for my third VBAC. I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Rachel...haven't seen you in a very long time...stumbled across your blog from another blog. I had a VBAC with Hollyn...in fact - after my first birth (C-section) - trained myself as a child birth educator and doula because I was so disappointed with my first birth experience. Had Hollyn at a free-standing birth center with certified nurse midwives - unmedicated. Came home 4 hours after she was born. First doc told me I "was not made to have babies and would always need Csections". C-sections CAN be life saving for mom and baby - but God designed us to have children HIS way far more often than surgically. Many blessings as you go through this birth...I will be praying for you.

By the way - it's Avivi from ACSC days - it published my email instead of my name!

I don't think that c-sections are the easy way out, but good luck to you!
